Default Noob Question on making 40/40 sets.

I have the wand wrappings, focus cores, and insigs. The part im confused about is what you put them into. I got some items from item collectors but they wouldn't let me put the insigs or focus cores or wand wrappings on them. I've even picked some items up from killing enemies and they wouldn't work sometimes. So what im asking is what am I doing wrong?

Wands and Focus items that can take the mods you want to use will have an inscription slot. Even if there is no inscription on it, it will have a slot. So it may say:

Inscription: None

If they do not say there is an inscription slot on them, they won't take Wand Wrappings, inscriptions, or Focus Cores.

Insigs u put on armor (Insigina an Runes r for armor).
Items from Collectors that r fully modded cannot be modified.
Meaning, u cannot take mods of them or put other mods on them.
Inscription mods can only be put on inscribable items.
Nearly all items u find in Prophecies and Factions r not inscribable.

" If they do not say there is an inscription slot on them, they won't take Wand Wrappings, inscriptions, or Focus Cores. "

There r non inscribable items (from Prophecies and Factions) that can be upgraded with mods.

Only if the weaponsmith is one in Nightfall or EotN, or in the endgame area of Prophecies (which you reach after completing the final mission).

!!ATTENTION!!: MOST 40/40 SETS CAN BE CRAFTED!!!

The weaponsmith is location in Vasburg Armory and Leviathan Pits, for those kurz and lux respectively. The cost to craft and mats can reach 7-8k, but thats near the price you would pay for a droks key and you wouldnt need to spend the time looking for it. Getting collectors is also worthwhile, but sometimes the req attribute can sometimes be linked to the primary.

^ He's right and "Forget Me Not" inscripts are like 15-20k, so you'll save a lot over modding yourself.

Yes, there are, but not for Wands or Focus items. Swords, Axes, Hammers, and Staves can accept prefix and suffix mods, but not inscriptions. Wands and Focus items cannot accept any mods. The only ones that will work are the ones crafted in the area after beating Prophecies, or the ones from the end chest of Urgoz and the Deep. Regular drops, chest drops, and crafter weapons cannot accept Focus Cores or Wand Wrappings.

If I'm wrong on this, I'd like to see proof.
